Is there anyone you’d like to acknowledge and thank for their support?

Only my wife.

Every writer has their own idea of what a successful career in writing is, what does success in writing look like to you?

Like most writers I dream of No. 1 bestsellers, though the odd award wouldn’t go amiss too.

If you could have a dinner party and invite anyone dead or alive, who would you ask?

I’m not a social person; dinner in a nice restaurant with my wife sounds pretty good; when you have small children it’s hard to get quality time with your partner.

When you are not writing, how do you like to relax?

I like to play golf; very, very badly!

How often do you write? And when do you write?

When I’m really motoring I can easily do 8-10 hours a day, but it’s hard to find the time –and solitude- so I often have to write at night after the kids go to bed.

Sometimes it’s so hard to keep at it – What keeps you going?

I don’t have a choice; it’s all I know, all I can do.

Have you met any people in the industry who have really helped you?

No.

What do you hope people will take away from your writing? How will your words make them feel?

I haven’t published any of my serious work yet. The two novels I’ve published are Hidden, a psychological thriller, and Redemption Song, a detective novel. They’re meant to be fun, to entertain and amuse.

Hidden

Why has a beautiful young woman been committed to an insane asylum? What is the truth behind a shadowy past containing drug use, promiscuity and murder? What secrets does she hold that others will kill to keep HIDDEN? These are questions that psychologist Kate Bennett must answer if she is to save her patient’s sanity…and both their lives. But Kate has secrets of her own, and a dark past of her own that will come back to haunt her.

HIDDEN is a thriller, set in Dublin, but it is also a voyage of self-discovery for Kate, as she uncovers not just the truth about her patient but some truths about herself.
