3 things I liked about the book … This is my new favorite author. She presented a book that will be discussed in our book club for a long time to come. I loved the story for being fast paced, believable and full of emotion.
Favorite character(s) … Claire, of course. She's literally caught between a rock and a hard place. She wants, needs to fight back but the at the same time is beyond broken from all the torture she has experienced.
Favorite setting … When Claire spent the night with Connor. On the one hand, you have so much evil and then on the other, you have the start of something beautiful. I loved her flow of words and the way this scene was presented made me cry thinking whether Claire would leave or stay?
